Be part of the new Perth
Now is the perfect time to be part of the new Perth! Progress has always been defined by transformation and change. Our city is experiencing a ‘once every 50 years event’ where a period of prosperity and investment in major projects is unlocking a revolution that spans physical to social connectedness.
The new Perth CBD is becoming more vibrant and upbeat as barriers that have long separated our city centre from the river, as well as the cultural and entertainment heart of Northbridge, are being removed, while our roads, schools, hospitals and sporting facilities are being improved.
Several stages of the new Perth City Link project have been completed including the opening of Perth Arena and the sinking of the railway line. The first four buildings in Kings Square are nearing completion and will soon accommodate more than 4,000 workers. Upon completion of Yagan Square the Central Business District and the Northbridge entertainment precinct will seamlessly complement each other and thrive in unison.
The recently opened Elizabeth Quay forms the centerpiece of a bold plan to revitalise our city at the rivers edge, finally providing a CBD hub to live, work, dine, relax and entertain by the water. Featuring a stunning inlet connected by 1.5km of continuous boardwalks and promenades, the project will deliver great public spaces, new hotel and short stay accommodation, children’s playground and spectacular views back to the city.
Several milestones in the $1 billion Gateway WA project have now also been completed, significantly improving access to and from the Perth Airport precinct, and the completion of $1.2 billion Perth Children’s Hospital will compliment the University of Western Australia to form a corridor that centers on science.
As more projects reach completion over the coming months and years, Perth will continue its transformation into a more vibrant and connected city. Beautiful, bright and brilliant, Perth is growing up into a city that all Western Australians can be proud to call home.
Now has never been a better time to be a part of the new Perth.
